Vive en el Aire

Our story

How we ended up living on air.

Vive en el Aire started with two people who had no obvious reason to meet, and a stretch of Pacific coast with no place to stay.

Don Paulino was born here. He’s spent his life as a fisherman and boatman, and was one of the first people in this community to start sharing Termales with visitors from the outside. Fernando works in technology and social innovation: he’s spent years moving between Colombia, Finland, Singapore, and Indonesia. He came to Termales once and didn’t leave.

Together they built a cabin, then a kitchen, then got community internet installed. Which arrived before the hot water. That’s still roughly the order of priorities. This isn’t a hotel. It’s a collaboration between two people from very different worlds, and the community of Termales.
