Getting here
Getting to Termales, Nuquí.
No road reaches this place, and that is part of its charm. The trip has two legs: a small plane to Nuquí and a boat ride on the Pacific to Termales. Here is how it works, step by step.

How do I get to Nuquí from Medellín or Bogotá?
By small plane. Regional flights leave from Bogotá or Medellín to the Nuquí airport, the gateway to this part of the Chocó Pacific. That is how you get in: there is no road here.
Book your flight in advance and confirm schedules directly with the airline, since frequencies change with the season.
How do I get from Nuquí to Termales?
By fast boat: about 35 minutes along the coast to the community of Termales. That is where we are, right at the edge of the sea.
We coordinate the transport from Nuquí. Write to us on WhatsApp before you travel with your flight and arrival time, and we will arrange the boat so the last leg is the easiest part of the trip.
How long does the whole trip take?
Four to six hours from Bogotá, depending on the day’s connections. It sounds long, but it is one of those trips where the destination starts before you arrive: the Pacific shows up in the plane window and never leaves.

Tips before you travel
Write to us before you travel. We arrange the boat from Nuquí around your arrival time, so there is nothing to figure out at the dock.
Pack light, in bags that can handle water: the last leg is by open boat.
The climate is Pacific rainforest: warm, humid, with rain possible year-round. A rain jacket, repellent and sunscreen always help.
If you are coming for the humpback whales, the season runs June through October.
Shall we coordinate your arrival?
Book your room online and send us your flight on WhatsApp. We take care of the rest.
